Bethlehem Central to Host Hudson Valley Community College's Summer Technology Camp For Children

Hudson Valley Community College will offer a two-week technology camp at Bethlehem Central Middle School for students entering fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. The camp will help students discover new interests and talents through hands-on activity sessions. The camp will meet 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday from July 8 through July 18.

Each student will explore four modules in a small class setting during the camp. The modules include: "Engineering Technology," "The Secrets Behind Toys," "Water, Water, Everywhere" and "Forensic Fun for Kids."

Registration is limited. Cost of the program is $265 with a certificate of residence. Students do not have to live in the Bethlehem Central School District to participate.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
