Author/environmentalist Bill McKibben speaks at campus-wide Earth Day Celebration at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium, Hudson Valley Community College. Free. 629-7486.

Art Exhibit
Annual Juried Undergraduate Exhibition in the Teaching Gallery in Marvin Library, Hudson Valley Community College. All-media extravaganza by Hudson Valley students. Exhibit continues through April 20. Gallery hours: 7 a.m.- 10 p.m. Mon. - Thurs.; 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Fri. and Sat. Free. 629-8006.

"Life Is Beautiful," controversial "Holocaust comedy" which won its director/star an Oscar. 10 a.m., noon, 2 and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, in Maureen Stapleton Theatre, Hudson Valley Community College. Free.

Earth Day Celebration, free campus-wide activities beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at Hudson Valley Community College. Demonstrations of alternative energy automobiles, nature walks, children's activities. Children of All Ages
Take Your Children to Work Day, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, for families of Hudson Valley Community College students and staff. Curious mix of Harry Potter and Earth Day activities, including games, hikes, hunts and more. Registration required. 629-7424.
