Hudson Valley Community College To Offer Three-Day Certification in Customer Service Support

The Workforce Development Institute at Hudson Valley Community College is offering a three-day training course leading to certification as a Certified Customer Service Specialist, April 3, 4, 5, at Hudson Valley Community College's new downtown Albany extension site, at 175 Central Avenue. The training session will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The training is specifically designed for anyone who sells, services or supports technical products or equipment. Supervisors of customer service representatives also would benefit from this training.

The Customer Service Specialist (CSS) program has grown from a specialized training for electronics technicians to an internationally recognized, broader-based program intended to teach world-class customer service practices to professionals in all technical support fields. The instructor is Paul Bartoszewicz, who has taught the CSS course as an integral part of the Microcomputer Support Technician Certification program at Hudson Valley Community College for the past five years. He previously was a master instructor for DataTrain Institute's Computer Technician Association International.

Cost is $395 per trainee, including the cost of the CSS examination voucher and study guide.
