WHAT: Walt Disney World will conduct an on-campus recruiting session
at Hudson Valley Community College. A representative from Walt Disney World's
College Program, an internship that offers compensation and low-cost housing at
Walt Disney World's sunny (and ice-free) Florida location, will visit Hudson
Valley to recruit students for full-time hospitality positions. There will be an
orientation session from noon to 1 p.m., during which time a Walt Disney World
representative will answer questions. Interviews will be conducted from 1:30 to
WHEN: Noon to 1 p.m., and 1:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2002.
WHERE: Bulmer Telecommunications Center, first-floor meeting rooms,
Hudson Valley Community College, 80 Vandenburgh Avenue, Troy, NY.
WHY: Walt Disney World conducted a similar recruiting session at
Hudson Valley in November 2001, and hired seven Hudson Valley students as a
result. The hospitality positions are paid internships that give Hudson Valley's
students a chance to learn from an entertainment industry leader. Students who
meet the qualifications and are hired will benefit from educational and
networking opportunities at Walt Disney World in Florida.
