New students are required to attend New Student Orientation prior to meeting with their academic advisor. At the conclusion of the New Student Orientation, you will be directed to our office for academic advisement and registration. Call (518) 629-7055 for more information.
Returning and Transfer Students
Academic advisement for the Teacher Preparation Department's degree and certificate programs is available through the Liberal Arts Advisement Center in Fitzgibbons Health Technologies Center, room 334. Students seeking advisement may call to make an appointment, (518) 629-7191.
You may elect to arrange your own schedule for the term online using WIReD after meeting with an advisor to discuss your schedule and course choices. However, you must schedule all of your student teaching courses with an academic advisor. All students are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment and to ensure obtaining a seat in your required courses.
Please note: Teacher Preparation Department Chairperson Antoinette Howard also is available to discuss your educational goals if you have questions or concerns. Her office is located in Higbee Hall, room 109 or you may call (518) 629-7250.
