Throughout this website, you will have the chance to take a look at two of America's famous poets of the early 20th century.

Pulitzer-Prize winner, Edna St. Vicnent Millay was known for both her written work and her performances. Her embodiment of new kinds of female experiences and expression and progressive political stances allowed her to write with a modernist attitude in a traditonal form- creating a unique type of American poetry.

Known as one of the most innovative poets of his time, E.E. Cummings was an inventive poet, experimenting with language and form to create his own personal style. Though his poems were spare and precise, his use of eccentrically placed words and avant-garde style became very popular within society.
