College Names New Department Chair for EACCM

Joseph Dana has been officially appointed the department chair for the Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Computer Science and Mathematics (EACCM) Department within the college’s the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), effective March 7.
Dana joined the Hudson Valley Community College faculty in 2018 as a full-time instructor for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction before becoming the interim department Chair for EACCM in the fall of 2021. Prior to joining the college, Dana worked at Cotler Architecture as project manager and architectural designer. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he played football for two years. Dana also earned two associate degrees from Hudson Valley, one in Civil Engineering and one in Architectural Technology, and played both football and baseball during his time at the college.
