Course Offerings
Air Conditioning Service & Repair
This course provides an in-depth study of the practical aspects of residential and light commercial air conditioning equipment and systems. An emphasis is placed on the theory of heat transfer, good service and installation practices, and the use of instruments and gauges to assist in fault diagnosis. This AC Service and Repair course provides students with entry-level skills in the field of air conditioning installation, service and repair. Upon completion of the course, the student will need to obtain his or her EPA 608 certification prior to working in the field.

Students are required to bring to class: Safety glasses with side panels and work gloves
Prerequisites: 9th grade reading, writing and math skill levels. Students should have a strong interest in the fundamentals of air conditioning systems.

OSHA 10 Construction Safety
This 10-hour construction safety course is intended for entry-level participants. Each student will receive an OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety wallet card upon successful completion. Training is delivered by a recognized OSHA-10 Construction Safety instructor.
Topic areas covered include the mandatory OSHA-10 Construction Safety topics, including, but not limited to:
- Introduction to OSHA

The OSHA Focus Four Hazards
- Falls
- Electrocution
- Struck-By (e.g., falling objects, trucks, cranes),
- Caught-In or Between (e.g., trench hazards, equipment)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Health Hazards in Construction, Excavations and Ladders
