Owens Corning Workers To Teach CPR To Hudson Valley Students

TROY, NY – Workers from Owens Corning will
teach CPR to a group of Hudson Valley Community College students.
WHEN: 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001.
WHERE: Williams Hall, rooms 102 and 112, Hudson Valley Community
College, 80 Vandenburgh Avenue, Troy NY.
WHAT: Four EMT workers from Owens Corning's Delmar plant will
present a free four-hour CPR class to 67 Hudson Valley first-year students,
all of whom are enrolled in a Safety and Labor Relations course.
WHY: The Owens Corning employees will present the CPR class using
Red Cross standards, and the Hudson Valley students will receive an adult
CPR card. Owens Corning is donating their employee's time, and they also
are paying the certification fees, which amount to about $12 per student.
