Flutist Chris Melco to Perform At Hudson Valley Community College

Musician Chris Melco will perform original solo flute music from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre at Hudson Valley Community College. Admission to the "Daytime Break" event is free and open to the public.
The performance is part of the "Alive!" series at Hudson Valley Community College, offering a wide variety of cultural affairs programming throughout the year.
Melco performs on native wooden instruments, which provide a warm, rich sound. His music has been described as "ambient" and conducive to relaxation and meditation.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
