Wynantskill Resident Named Assistant Director of Community and Professional Education At Hudson Valley Community College

Tara Bocketti of Wynantskill was recently named the assistant director of community and professional education at Hudson Valley Community College.
Bocketti will help develop, plan and oversee the more than 200 credit-free classes, workshops and trips offered by the college’s Office of Community and Professional Education each semester and assist with the college’s Kids on Campus summer programs for youth. She also will serve as one of two directors of the college’s Center for Effective Teaching, which offers professional development for faculty and staff of the college.
Bocketti earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University at Albany and is currently completing her M.B.A. from the same institution.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,000 students and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
