Delmar Resident Eric Bryant Receives SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service

Eric Bryant of Delmar, the assistant director of communications and marketing at Hudson Valley Community College, was recently honored with the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service for his work in promoting the college. He began his career at the college in 1996.

Eight additional faculty and staff members at the Troy college were named recipients of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence for 2014. Instituted in 1972 by the State University of New York, the Chancellor's Award recognizes exceptional contributions to the university by dedicated professionals. Since its inception, 148 faculty and staff members from Hudson Valley Community College have received the Chancellor's Award.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,000 students and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
