Hudson Valley Community College Signs Criminal Justice Transfer Agreement with Norwich University

Hudson Valley Community College has signed an articulation agreement with Norwich University that will allow Criminal Justice A.S. or A.A.S. students to transfer a minimum of 60 credits and up to 84 credits into Norwich University’s Criminal Justice bachelor of science degree.

The Norwich program is offered completely online and students transferring from Hudson Valley will receive a $500 tuition scholarship.

Criminal Justice is one of the college’s largest academic programs and annually ranks as one of the largest programs of its kind in the country by Community College Week. Last year, the college had 162 graduates in the A.S. and A.A.S. programs. 

Norwich University is a private university located in Northfield, Vermont. It is the oldest private military college in the United States.

Hudson Valley students who are interested in the program may contact the Center for Counseling and Transfer on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center. Prospective students interested in the college’s Criminal Justice programs or learning more about transfer and articulation agreements may contact the Department of Criminal Justice, Forensic Science and Public Administration at (518) 629-7342.

Hudson Valley has more than 375 transfer agreements with colleges and universities around the country.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 75 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of nearly 13,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 75,000 alumni.
