Promotions in Business Office Announced at Hudson Valley Community College

Several Hudson Valley Community College employees recently received promotions.
In the college's business office, Mary Ellen Lajeunesse of Brunswick is the new director of business services. Formerly the college's assistant comptroller, Lajeunesse will oversee purchasing, inventory and central receiving departments. She has been with the college since 1987.
Joan Golden of Clifton Park will be the new assistant comptroller at the college, overseeing accounts payable, county
chargebacks, Tuition Assistance Program accounting and contract/grant billing. She was previously head of the college's
cashier's office and has been an employee since 1991.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certification programs in four academic divisions: Liberal Arts and Sciences; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Business; as well as and programs run through the Educational Opportunities Center offering certification programs in workforce and academic preparation. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 9,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining.
