Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Inducts More Than 150 New High-Achieving Students Into Academic Honor Society

Hudson Valley Community College recently announced 162 new inductees to the Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society for two-year institutions of higher learning.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is indicative of academic excellence. Those inducted are students in a degree program who have met standards including a grade point average of 3.71 or higher.

An induction ceremony will take place at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, in the college’s Bulmer Telecommunications Center.
