Turkey Hunting Seminar Scheduled at Hudson Valley Community College

A seminar for turkey hunters will be held Monday, March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson Valley Community College.

At the second annual seminar, "Talking Turkey 2," Professor Lloyd Barnhart from the college's Physical Education department will offer turkey hunting tips and tricks for both novice and experienced hunters. Non-hunters are also encouraged to attend to learn more about the wild turkey.

"Talking Turkey 2" will be an interactive session. The seminar will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Dwight Marvin Library, and admission is free. Seminar topics will include: The Absolute Principles of Turkey Hunting; Turkey Calls and Calling Techniques; Spring Turkey Hunting Methods; Handling Problem Birds; The Importance of Field Notes; and Turkey Hunting Safety and Ethics.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
