Conway Ice Rink Offers Recreational Skating for the Public at Hudson Valley Community College

The Conway Ice Rink, located in the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College, opens for the 2012-13 season on Saturday, Oct. 27. Admission is free on opening weekend. The 18,000 square foot rink offers recreational skating from 4 to 6:15 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Admission rates are $2 for children 2 to 17 years old; $2 for seniors (60+); and $3 for adults. There is a $1 per person discount for a group of ten or more with advance notice. Quality skate rentals are available for toddlers through adults. Cost is $3.

A credit-bearing class for beginning and intermediate skaters is offered by the college on weekday mornings. Outside instructors provide evening and weekend lessons at the rink. The season runs through Sunday, March 10, 2013. The rink is closed Thursday, Nov. 22; Monday, Dec. 24; Tuesday, Dec. 25; Monday, Dec. 31; and Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. It will be open for the holiday week, Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28 from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. each day.

Snacks and beverages are available from vending machines or you may bring your own refreshments. Free parking is available in front of the complex.
