Two Exhibits Highlight Student Work as Spring 2012 Term Ends
Two exhibitions of work from students in the Fine Arts program were on display in the college’s Teaching Gallery during the final weeks of the spring term.
The 2012 Juried Student Exhibit and “Test Patterns: 2012 Advanced Study in Drawing & Painting,” were both hung in the college's Teaching Gallery from April 20 through May 5.
This year's Juried Student Exhibit was juried by Elizabeth Dubben, gallery director at Saratoga Arts, a community arts center in Saratoga Springs, NY. The show included more than 120 pieces in a variety of media, including video, by nearly 65 artists. Purchase prizes were awarded to Emily Blacker, Morgan Kunz and Jared Schafer.
“Test Patterns: 2012 Advanced Study in Drawing & Painting” included more than 35 pieces by 14 student artists studying in the advanced drawing and painting course.
Both exhibitions were installed by Gallery Management students Laura Dillon, Maxwell Goodknight, Anneliese Holmes and Rebecca Vitarelle.
