More than 60 Students Honored at 2012 Hudson Valley Community College Foundation Scholarship Reception

Sixty seven Hudson Valley Community College students were recognized Friday, May 4, at the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation Scholarship Appreciation Reception. The ceremony formally recognizes current and incoming students who have been awarded scholarships by the Foundation during the 2011-2012 academic year.
Total annual scholarship funding through the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation is approximately $100,000.
Each academic year, the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation offers scholarship opportunities that make a college degree even more affordable. Scholarships are sometimes designated for students in a particular academic program or from a certain geographic area. Thanks to the generosity of its donors, the Foundation is always expanding scholarship opportunities. Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
