Hudson Valley Community College Offers Dozens of Courses at TEC-SMART in Malta This Winter

Hudson Valley Community College will offer several college-level courses in the evenings at its new TEC-SMART education facility in Malta this winter. Classes begin on Jan. 24 and run through May 19.

Courses, offered both day and evenings, include liberal arts and business courses as well as courses related to the college's renewable energy and semiconductor manufacturing programs.

Courses offered during the term are: "Legal and Ethical Environments of Business I," Organization and Management," "Fundamentals of Information Processing," "Personal Computer Concepts and Applications I," "Child Development," "Foundations of Education in America," "Introduction to Philosophy," and "Individuals with Exceptionalities in the School and Community."

Additional courses include: "Electricity," "Electricity for HVAC/R," "Refrigeration Principles I,""Photovoltaic Systems Theory and Design," "Digital Electronics," "Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes," "Semiconductor and Nanotech Overview," "Semiconductor Metrology and Process Control," "Hydrogen Power Systems," "Hybrids," "Introduction to Geothermal Heat Pump Systems," "English Composition I," "English Composition II," "The Short Story," "Public Speaking," "Western Civilization and the World I," "Western Civilization and the World II," "Interpretations of American History I," "Human Development and the Family," "Applied Technical Math," "College Algebra With Trigonometry," History of Rock and Roll," "Abnormal Psychology," "General Psychology" and "Sociology."

Tuition is $142 per credit hour for New York State residents.
