Workshops on Revisions to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Impact on Higher Education to be Presented at Hudson Valley Community College

Dr. Salome Heyward, Esq., a nationally recognized disability and discrimination law expert, will present two public workshops at Hudson Valley Community College, Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., on the recent amendments and revisions to the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). These free workshops will focus on the issues that prompted the need for change and the shared responsibility of postsecondary institutions and individuals with disabilities.
The author of Higher Education and Disability, The FMLA Handbook, Graduate Schools and the ADA and Access to Education for the Disabled, Dr. Heyward serves as the legal advisor for the Educational Testing Service.
