Hudson Valley Community College Students Named to Academic Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa Photo Available

More than 250 Hudson Valley Community College students were named this year to Phi Theta Kappa, the academic honor society for students at two-year colleges.

To qualify for membership, a student must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher in his or her course of study. High academic standing also must be maintained to remain active in the organization, which has more than 2 million members in chapters across the United States.  Hudson Valley Community College hosts the Alpha Xi Sigma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Many of the student members are eligible for scholarships at transfer colleges and universities.
