Ravena Student James Wickware Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

James Wickware of Ravena, a 2009 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Computer Information Systems: Web Design program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.
Wickware received the Award for Excellence in Computing and Information Sciences, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Computer Information Systems program. Wickware, who was named to the President's List each semester at Hudson Valley, works as an information technology specialist at First New York Federal Credit Union. He's an honors graduate as well.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
