Catskill Student Ashley Ormerod Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Ashley Ormerod of Catskill, a 2009 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Respiratory Care program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.
Ormerod received the Northeast Ventilator Award of Excellence in Mechanical Ventilation Theory and Practice, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Respiratory Care program. Ormerod also received the Ellis Hospital Scholarship Award and the NYS Northeast Chapter Society for Respiratory Care Award. She is a President's and Dean's list student and now will be working full-time at Ellis Hospital. She plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in the future.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
