Albany Student Manal Mustafa Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Manal Mustafa of Albany, a 2009 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Dental Hygiene program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.
Mustafa received the Colgate Student Total Achievement Recognition (STAR) Award, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Dental Hygiene program. Mustafa also received the Dental Hygiene Professional Achievement Award. She plans to pursue a master's degree in public health and ultimately join the faculty at Huson Valley.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
