Troy Student Kenneth Gummer Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Kenneth Gummer of Troy, a 2009 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Electrical Construction and Maintenance program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.
Gummer received the Electrical Construction and Maintenance Club Award for Academic Excellence, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Electrical Construction and Maintenance program. Gummer is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the National Society of Leadership and Success, and was named to the President's List at Hudson Valley.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
