Louise Bradford of Round Lake is Named Director of Advancement Services and Donor Relations at Hudson Valley Community College Photo Available

Louise Bradford, a fundraising and public relations professional, has been named Director of Advancement Services and Donor Relations at Hudson Valley Community College. She brings over a decade of fundraising, community relations and marketing experience.

Bradford will work with the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation to oversee the Foundation's information systems and financial statements, manage the Foundation's scholarship program, manage donor relations, develop marketing and promotional materials, and oversee the planning of all events related to the Foundation.

Bradford comes to Hudson Valley from the AIDS Council of NENY in Albany, NY, where she was the Director of Development and Marketing. Prior to that, she worked for the Danville Science Center in Danville, VA, where she was the Director of Development. Bradford was also previously a Major Gifts Officer at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA.

"What attracted me to Hudson Valley Community College was the college's academic reputation and the Foundation's commitment to the Hudson Valley community," said Bradford. "The Foundation has a campaign goal of $10 million by the end of 2008. I am looking forward to being a part of the continued success of the Foundation campaign and the college's contribution to the community."

Bradford received her BA from Averett University in Danville, VA. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the National Association of Female Executives and the Women's Round Lake Improvement Society. Bradford also served as a mentor for GenNext with the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associates degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, Hudson Valley has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 64,000 alumni.
