Kymberlie Harris of Hannacroix, NY, a 2008 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Nursing program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.

Harris received the Nursing Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Nursing program. Harris will work in the Critical Care Unit at Albany Medical Center while pursuing a bachelor/master's degree in nursing. She also is a trainer for Therapy Dogs International.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
