The Young Eight Perform Noontime Concert at Hudson Valley Community College May 8

The Young Eight, an internationally touring string octet, will perform at Hudson Valley Community College's Maureen Stapleton Theatre at noon, Thursday, May 8 as part of the college's Cultural Affairs Series.
Founded in 2002 at the North Carolina School of the Arts, the group has studied at The Boston Conservatory, Cleveland Institute of Music, Indiana University, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College of Music, New England Conservatory of Music and Peabody Conservatory of Music.
They will perform Introduction and Allegro, op. 47 by Edward Elgar as well as several pieces written specifically for the string octet.
The performance is free and open to the public.
