Hudson Valley Community College's Workforce Development Institute will host a seminar on C# for .NET, a new development technology from Microsoft, on Wednesday, June 6 in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center.

Microsoft recently announced .NET, its next generation component development technology. C# (C Sharp) is a new programming language created for .NET. C# combines the best ideas from recent languages (object orientation, garbage collection, automatic documentation) with strong support from component-based development (inheritance, language interoperability, "IDL-less" interfaces).

The seminar will be led by Steve Jakubowski, a New York City-based information technology expert, who has provided consulting and training using Windows development tools since the 1980s.

The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is at 8:30 a.m.

Registration is $75 prior to May 18; $89 prior to June 5; and $99 at the door.

For more information or to register, call (518) 629-4827, or e-mail agansus@hvcc.edu.
