Paula Monaco of Wynantskill is Named Director of Communications and Marketing at Hudson Valley Community College Photo Available

Paula Monaco of Wynantskill, a marketing and public relations professional with 20 years experience in the communications field, has been named Director of Communications and Marketing at Hudson Valley Community College.

Monaco will oversee marketing and advertising as well as public and media relations at the largest undergraduate college in the Capital Region. Hudson Valley enrolled a record number of students for the current fall semester and annually serves more than 12,000 full- and part-time students.

Monaco comes to the college from the New York State Office of General Services where she had worked as a communications officer since 2001. Prior to that, she served as assistant vice president and director of marketing at Hudson River Bank & Trust Co. She also worked as an account manager for Capitaline International Group, a public relations firm in Washington D.C.; and as an account coordinator at Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations in Washington.

She has a bachelor's degree in English from Siena College.

Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, Hudson Valley has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
