Ballston Spa Student Joshua Speziale Honored at Hudson Valley Community College Photo Available

Joshua Speziale of Ballston Spa, a 2007 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Physical Education program, was recently honored by the college.

Speziale received the The Sage College of Albany Transfer Excellence Award, which is given to an outstanding graduate who will continue their physical education study at Sage.

He was a recipient of the full-tuition Presidential Scholarship at Hudson Valley and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honor society for students at two-year colleges.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
