Albany Student Anthony Montuori Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Anthony Montuori of Albany, a 2007 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Fine Arts program, was recently honored by the college.
Montuori received the Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Service in the Fine Arts Program, which annually is given to the most outstanding student in the Fine Arts program. This fall he will transfer to Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, Mass.
Montuori, an honor student, was recognized by his department for achievement in studio art during both his first and second years. He served as a peer tutor and studio assistant in the drawing and painting studio.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
