Hudson Valley Community College Foundation to Host 13th Annual U.W. Marx Inc. Golf Classic

The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation will host the 13th annual U.W. Marx Inc. Golf Classic on Monday, July 23, to benefit scholarships, programs, student services and facilities at Hudson Valley Community College.

The event will be held at The Country Club of Troy and feature two flights. The morning flight tees off at 8 a.m. and the afternoon flight begins at 1 p.m. Registration for the afternoon flight begins at 11 a.m., with lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Entry fee is $230 per golfer, which includes greens fees, cart, lunch, reception, dinner, awards presentations and a foursome photo with Golf Pro Keith Fergus. The deadline to register is Friday, July 13.

The Foundation also is seeking sponsors for the event; sponsorships, some of which include the option to golf, range from $5,000 to $250. In addition to U.W. Marx, the presenting sponsor, other major sponsors of the event to date are: Capital Communications Federal Credit Union, Northern Industrial Services, the Times Union, Senator Joseph L. Bruno, Siemens Building Technologies, Eastern Copy/Muratec, Time Warner Cable, Vanguard-Fine Retail Stores Leasing, L.L.C., Architecture +, Albany Broadcasting, Tri-City ValleyCats and The United Group of Companies.

The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable corporation formed in 1983 to philanthropically support the college’s mission. Gifts to the Foundation from alumni, corporations and friends are used to enhance programs, facilities and scholarship opportunities at the college.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
