Admissions Marketing Report Honors Hudson Valley Community College

Hudson Valley Community College and marketing partner Smith & Jones were honored recently with two big wins in the 17th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards.

The college earned a gold for the innovative ‘Directions for Life' newspaper campaign and a silver for the radio campaign. Together, they point the way for prospective students to get where they want to go in life.

Entries were received from hundreds of colleges and universities from around the country. A panel of industry experts judged each piece on its creativity, marketing execution and message impact to determine which were to be honored as the best in admissions marketing and advertising.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, NY offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Tehnologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 9,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.

Smith & Jones is a marketing communications company specializing in emerging brands. The firm's integrated practice includes market research, advertising, public relations, graphic design, and interactive media.
