Latham Resident Susan Cortesi Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Susan Cortesi of Latham, a 2006 graduate of the Hudson Valley
Community College Fine Arts program, was recently honored by the college.
Cortesi received the award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding
Service in the Fine Arts Program. She was a President's List student while
at Hudson Valley and completed her studies with a 4.0 grade point average. A
member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for students at
two-year colleges, she also had work included in the 2005 Best of SUNY
student art exhibition.
Cortesi plans to continue her studies in the Master of Fine Arts
program at the University at Albany.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
