Bellevue Woman's Hospital to Offer Free/Low Cost Mammograms at Capital District EOC Facilities

The Capital District Educational Opportunity Center, in conjunction with Bellevue Woman's Hospital, will offer free or low-cost mammograms on Friday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 21, at EOC's Albany and Troy facilities, respectively.
Bellevue Woman's Hospital's Mobile Mammography Van personnel, including a certified mammography technologist, will offer screenings to uninsured and insured women from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at 30 Russell Road, Westgate Plaza, Albany and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21 at 145 Congress St., Troy.
Women interested in an exam must pre-register by calling 1-888-423-3366. The deadline for the Albany exam date is March 1. The deadline for the Troy exam date is March 10.
Since 1966, the Capital District EOC, a division of Hudson Valley Community College, has offered tuition-free academic and workforce development opportunities to economically disadvantaged and educationally under-prepared New York State residents.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and workforce and academic preparation programs offered through the Educational Opportunity Center. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining.
