Hudson Valley Community College Names Director of Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving

Aimee LaLiberteAimee A. LaLiberte of Troy has been named director of alumni affairs and annual giving at Hudson Valley Community College.

LaLiberte will oversee alumni relations and charitable annual giving campaigns for the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable corporation formed in 1983 to philanthropically support the college's mission. Gifts to the Foundation from alumni, businesses, faculty, staff and friends are used to enhance programs, facilities and scholarship opportunities at the college.

LaLiberte has experience in alumni affairs and philanthropic management at Emma Willard School in Troy, Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs and Le Moyne College in Syracuse. LaLiberte comes to Hudson Valley from the New York State Assembly's Ways and Means Committee, where she served as a budget analyst.

A graduate of Le Moyne College, LaLiberte currently is studying for her master's degree in public administration at Sage Graduate School in Albany.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 50 degree and certification programs in four academic divisions: Liberal Arts and Sciences; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Business; as well as programs run through the Educational Opportunity Center offering certification programs in workforce and academic preparation. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has graduated more than 55,000 students.
