Dorothy Reynolds Appointed Department Chair of Fine Arts, Theater Arts and Broadcast Communications

Dorothy Reynolds of East Greenbush has been appointed interim Department Chair of Fine Arts, Theater Arts and Broadcast Communications at Hudson Valley Community College.
Reynolds has served as the Executive Assistant to President John Buono since August of 1998. In her new position, she will oversee associate degree programs in broadcast communications and fine arts. There are approximately 160 students in the department.
Prior to coming to Hudson Valley, Reynolds was the manager of marketing and leasing for the Rensselaer Technology Park for nine years. She leased more than 200,000 square feet of space during her tenure and doubled the number of companies, buildings and employees. The park consistently maintained at least a 95 percent occupancy rate in multi-tenant building.
Reynolds received a bachelor's from SUNY Geneseo and a Master of Public Administration from the University at Albany. She also is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
