Lisa Quail Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Lisa Quail of Clifton Park, a 2003 graduate from the Hudson Valley Community College Early Childhood program, recently was honored by the college.
Quail, a president's list or dean's list student during her time at the college, was the recipient of the Early Childhood Club Award for Excellence in Teaching. She was listed in the publication "Who's Who Among Students in America's Junior Colleges" in 2003 and was a recipient of the Otto V. Geunther Scholarship in 2003. Quail was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the national academic honor society for students at two-year colleges and a peer tutor in the college's Learning Assistance Center.
She will transfer to SUNY Geneseo in the fall to continue her studies in early childhood education.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
