Katie Brott Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Katie Brott of Troy, a 2003 graduate from the Hudson Valley Community College Dental Hygiene program, recently was honored by the college.
Brott, a dean's list student during her time at the college, was the recipient of the Troy Dental Study Club Scholarship.
She plans to work as a dental hygienist in private practice.
Brott had previously been honored with the Academic Excellence Award from the college's Disability Resource Center, the Debonis Health Science Award and a Presidential Scholarship.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
