Ruth Sutton Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Ruth Sutton of Buskirk, a 2003 graduate from the Hudson Valley Community College Nursing program, recently was honored by the college.
Sutton, who was listed on either the president's list or the dean's list during her time at the college, was the recipient of the Helen M. Slavin Award for Clinical Excellence in Nursing. She was the recipient of an Albany Medical Center Scholarship in 2002 and was listed in "Who's Who in American Junior Colleges" in 2003. She has begun work in the Albany Medical Center orthopedics department as a registered nurse.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
