FOR RELEASE: Immediate, Tuesday, April 15, 2003
WE@HVCC is looking for sponsors for Barbara Meyer Darlin's "Unlacing The Victorian Lady."
A costumed portrait of a fashionable lady at the turn of the 20th century, "Unlacing The Victorian Lady" will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 18 in Hudson Valley Community College's Bulmer Telecommunications Center. It will take a look at a Victorian woman's private life - right down to her chemise. Volunteers will help with on-stage costume changes as Darlin offers a social history lesson about the role of women in the late 19th century, and how fashion played a part in it.
Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $1,500, and they include a listing in the event program and free admission. For detailed sponsorship information, please visit www.hvcc.edu/~weor contact Erica Ferro at (518) 629-7358.
