More Than 140 Employers Scheduled To Attend "The Community's Job Fair"

Hudson Valley Community College's Center for Careers & Employment will host "The Community's Job Fair" on Tuesday, March 18. The Capital Region's largest job fair, the event will take place in the field house at Hudson Valley's McDonough Sports Complex from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
The Community's Job Fair is free and open to the public. All Capital Region job seekers are encouraged to dress for interviews and to bring resumes.
"Having Hudson Valley Community College host The Community's Job Fair seems like a perfect fit," said Mark Schmiedeshoff, director of Hudson Valley's Center for Careers & Employment and organizer of The Community's Job Fair. "There's already been so much community support through our sponsors, and the response from employers has been strong, too. We're expecting hundreds of employers and thousands of job seekers to turn out. So this truly will be a community event."

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 50 degree and certification programs in four academic divisions: Liberal Arts and Sciences; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Business; as well as programs run through the Educational Opportunity Center offering certification programs in workforce and academic preparation. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has graduated more than 55,000 students.
