Schodack Landing Resident Trista M. Hughes Honored At Hudson Valley Community College

Trista M. Hughes of Schodack Landing, a 2002 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College's Early Childhood program, was honored recently by the college.
Hughes was the recipient of the SUNY Utica/Rome Institute for Technology Award. She was an honor student all four semesters at Hudson Valley. A member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, she was listed in Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.
Hughes will transfer to The College of Saint Rose this fall to pursue a bachelor's degree.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
