Schenectady Resident Michael Buffardi Honored At Hudson Valley Community College

Michael Buffardi of Schenectady, a 2002 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College, was recently the recipient of Hudson Valley's Liberal Arts Honors Award.
A graduate of the New York State Democratic Committee Campaign School, Buffardi volunteered for the Schenectady County Democratic Committee and the Women's Democratic Club while attending Hudson Valley, and also working for the Zale Corporation.
He was an honors students during all four semesters of his studies at Hudson Valley, and was named to the National Dean's List for 2001.
Buffardi will continue his studies toward a bachelor's degree.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
