Troy Resident Amy Peppin Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Amy Peppin of Troy, a 2002 graduate from Hudson Valley Community Dental Hygiene program, was recently honored by the college.
Peppin, a dean's list student, was the recipient of the Troy Dental Study Club Scholarship and the Senior Professional Achievement Award. She plans to work in the dental hygiene field and possibly continue her education at the University at Albany. Peppin was active in the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
