Three Labor Studies courses will be offered this fall at Hudson Valley Community College, presented by the college for the first time as part of its two-year degree program in Labor Studies.
Labor Law (LABR 185) will be offered 6 - 9 p.m. on Mondays. Contract Administration (LABR 195) will be meet 3 - 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, and Labor History (LABR 180) will take place 6 - 9 p.m. on Thursdays. All three classes will be taught by Labor Studies department faculty at the college.
The courses previously had been presented as part of the Cornell Labor Studies Certificate, but that certificate is no longer available through Hudson Valley Community College. Instead, the college's own classes are now required for the Labor Studies degree.
Information about the new classes and about the Labor Studies degree can be obtained from the department chairperson, Dr. Ann B. Geisendorfer, at 629-7342.
