High School Artists To Exhibit At Hudson Valley Teaching Gallery

Artwork by students from 12 school districts will be displayed at the Questar III Arts Exchange Exhibit, opening on Thursday, Feb. 28 in the Teaching Gallery at Hudson Valley Community College.
Now in its 13th year, the invitational exhibit involves students from Averill Park, Berlin, Brittonkill, East Greenbush, Greenville, Hoosic Valley, Hudson, Ichabod Crane, Lansingburgh, New Lebanon, Schodack and Taconic Hills school districts.
The opening reception and awards ceremony for the exhibit will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 28. The juror was Thomas Lail, assistant professor of art at Hudson Valley.
The exhibit will continue through March 28 in the gallery, located in the Marvin Library at the college.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
