Johnstown Student Leanne Anderson Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Leanne Anderson of Johnstown, a 2009 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Dental Hygiene program, was honored by the college with a departmental award.
Anderson received the Dental Hygiene Association of the State of New York: President's Award for Excellence, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Dental Hygiene program. Anderson is employed at Mayfield Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, LLC. At Hudson Valley, she received the Marylin LaBrie Faculty Memorial Scholarship and was named to Who's Who Among Students in America's Junior Colleges. A President's List student each of her four semesters, she also served as secretary, then president, of the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
